Cross-linked hetero aromatic polymers in interstellar dust

摘要: The discovery of cross-linked hetero-aromatic polymersin interstellar dust by instruments aboard theStardust spacecraft would confirm the validity thebiological grain model that was suggested fromspectroscopic studies over 20 years ago. Suchstructures could represent fragments cell wallsthat survive 30 km s-1 impacts onto detector surfaces.
