摘要: The glass-eel stage of the life history Anguillid eels (Anguilla spp.) makes important physiological transition from seawater (SW) to freshwater (FW) osmoregulation. Central successful adaptation fresh water is switch active hypoosmoregulation (ion excretion) hyperosmoregulation uptake) counter passive fluxes imposed by concentration gradients. Anguilla anguilla (L.) glass eels, captured lower Minho River estuary and maintained in brackish (BW; 24‰), were fully capable adapting FW following acute transfer. In a comparison between SW- (34‰) FW-adapted gill Na+/K+-ATPase Na+:K+:2Cl– cotransporter (NKCC) expression both markedly reduced group.
