摘要: Background: Concussions are potentially serious injuries. The few investigations of prevalence or incidence in youth ice hockey have typically relied on prospective reports from physicians trainers and did not survey players, despite the knowledge that many athletes do report probable concussions. Objective: This study sought to compare concussion rates were estimated a variety reporting strategies. Methods: Rates calculated British Columbia Amateur Hockey Association (BCAHA) official injury reports, direct game observation by minor volunteers (such as coaches managers), well retrospective surveys both elite non-elite players. All research was conducted within BCAHA. Results: Estimates for male players between 0.25 0.61 concussions per 1000 player hours (PGH). Concussion estimates volunteer 4.44 7.94 PGH. Player 6.65 8.32 PGH, 9.72 24.30 PGH hockey, respectively. Conclusion: It found considerably under-reported BCAHA team personnel.
