Psychosocial aspects of invasive fetal therapy as compared to prenatal diagnosis and risk assessment.

摘要: Objective To explore the psychosocial impact of invasive fetal therapy (FT). Methods We studied 100 consecutive patients scheduled for FT. Contemporary controls were women undergoing (1) prenatal diagnosis (AC/CVS) and (2) first trimester risk assessment aneuploidy (NT), (3) who declined latter (CTR). Prior to procedure, participants completed Beck Depression Inventory II, State-Trait Anxiety Inventory, Dyadic Adjustment Scale a questionnaire specifically designed evaluate process preceding intervention. Results Thirty-five percent in FT group had mild severe depressive symptoms, 30% showed high levels state anxiety. Mean anxiety was significantly higher facing as compared non-invasive procedures. Trait relationship scores comparable across all groups. more satisfied with information support given, whereas NT felt greater degree self-determination contentedness choices they made. Conclusion Pregnant awaiting face than Traits depression are found at least one third © 2013 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.
