摘要: Abstract Background Critically ill patients are at risk of developing moisture associated skin damage and pressure ulcers. These conditions may co-exist be difficult to distinguish, but a simultaneous investigation provide true prevalence. Objectives To investigate the prevalence factors among Norwegian intensive care patients. Methods A multi-centre one-day point-prevalence study. Results Totally, 112 participated in Overall, 15 (13%, 15/112) had some type which six cases (5%, 6/112) were related faeces and/or urine (incontinence dermatitis). Skin breakdown occurred primarily pelvic area. 87% (97/112) an indwelling urinary catheter. Stools reported 42% (47/112) on study day, mostly liquid or semi-liquid. 11% (12/112) faecal management system. Only few plans for prevention existed. Conclusion Patients this vulnerable Nevertheless, low This relate nurses’ qualifications, 1:1 nurse-patient staffing, high catheters having stools.
