摘要: Background Xanthine oxidoreductase has been proposed to play a role in the development of local and systemic effects acute pancreatitis. Under physiologic conditions, enzyme exists mainly as xanthine dehydrogenase (XDH) but can be converted by proteolytic cleavage its superoxide-generating form oxidase (XOD). In addition intracellular location XDH/XOD is also associated polysaccharide chains proteoglycans on external endothelial cell membrane. In early stages pancreatitis, this seems arising from mobilization gastrointestinal surface. Taking into account ability α-amylase hydrolyze internal α-1,4 linkages polysaccharides, we wanted elucidate involvement surface relevance ascitic fluid (AF) source experimental
