摘要: Toxicogenomics tries to evaluate the toxicity and safety of chemical compounds by analyzing gene expression changes detected measuring mRNA levels using DNA microarrays. The measurement upon exposure toxicants can give information about mechanism action toxic compound, also predict unknown compounds, thus providing a valuable tool in investigation lead for drug development. There are few examples its use identify issues drugs that were not evident from preclinical studies.
