Natural and Human-Induced Drivers of Groundwater Sustainability: A Case Study of the Mangyeong River Basin in Korea

摘要: The sustainability of rural areas depends on the availability water resources. Mangyeong River Basin (MRB) in Korea faces a supply shortage for agriculture and industry. Based 11-year (2005–2015) precipitation groundwater monitoring data, was evaluated terms natural man-made factors their spatio-temporal variations. A time-series revealed declining trend, but there were different seasonal trends between wet dry periods, with rising trends, respectively. Groundwater hydrographs from five national wells showed temporal located downstream both recharge upgradient local impacts (e.g. pumping), resulting an ambiguous relationship levels. However, other upstream displayed level responses to events, trend.
