摘要: Synthetic DL-methionine (DLM) supplements poultry diets to enhance production. The bioefficacy of liquid methionine is generally lower than that powder methionine; however, if the level total sulfur amino acids (TSAA) set commercial recommendation, seems be equal (equimolar basis). Absorption and transportation in segment jejunum differ between because multiple systems are involved. Methionine supplementation a low-protein diet alleviates negative effects heat stress. improves acid balance consequently promotes growth performance by enhancing feed efficiency, increases protein synthesis decreases fat synthesis. also immune response through direct (protein breakdown) indirect (derivatives methionine). As various factors influence requirement, requirements strains higher those recommended NRC (1994). Moreover, requirement expressed as percentage declines during starter grower phases, while related lysine little changed (tends increase).
