摘要: Hybrid biocomposites are one of the emerging fields in polymer composites. The purpose this study is development and characterization ceramic sheet (CS) hybrid polypropylene (PP) for broadening field potential applications biocomposites. PP were manufactured with 20 wt % loadings kenaf addition a CS (single or double sided) by melting compression molding. effects on mechanical thermal properties analyzed terms tensile, flexural, impact properties, inflammability, smoke optical density, toxicity combustion gas. Also, surface morphology fractured was observed SEM AFM. In spite brittle ceramic, improved and, also, inflammability highly improved. As result, full impregnation CSs into reinforced biocomposite can contribute to improvement both biocomposites, resulting such as aerospace. © 2013 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. J. Appl. Polym.
