摘要: There are two main approaches to diagnosing infections by Chlamydia and Chlamydophila spp. in mammals birds. The first involves the direct detection of agent tissue or swab samples, while second serological screening blood samples for presence anti-chlamydial antibodies. Ultimately, test that is used dependent on types submitted diagnostic laboratory analysis. present paper gives an overview methodologies technologies currently diagnosis chlamydial with emphasis recently developed tests. performance characteristics individual methods, such as antigen smears pathological isolation pathogen, various antibody tests DNA-based methods utilising conventional real-time PCR, well DNA microarray technology assessed, specific advantages drawbacks discussed. Further, a combination PCR assay chlamydiae proposed alternative reference standard cell culture.
