摘要: The normative point of departure in this article is mini-publics that can ‘complement’ representative democracy only if they enhance inclusive processes mutual justification among elected representatives who are responsible for public decisions. This distinguishes three different roles decision-making. Mini-publics be a) advisory when provide input collective will-formation the arena, b) collaborative involve deliberative process, c) scrutinizing check analyzes strengths and weaknesses these mini-publics. Advisory particularly vulnerable to ‘cherry-picking’. While uses may facilitate reason-giving representatives, entail risks dominance.
