摘要: Acute eosinophilic pneumonia (AEP) is an lung disease associated with environmental substances including smoking. Although the etiology of AEP has not been fully elucidated, it hypothesized that IL-33 plays a central role in pathogenesis AEP. Turpentine oil, from resins pine trees, only used paints, but also utilized experimental animal models inflammation because leads to production inflammatory cytokines IL-33. Here, we report first case following turpentine oil inhalation. A 67-year-old woman reported using urushiol repair home goods. She had fever and persistent cough after inhalation over very short period time. The chest X-ray image showed consolidation upper right field. Laboratory findings indicated there was no evidence infection, collagen vascular diseases, other allergic diseases cause pneumonia, analysis bronchoalveolar lavage fluid revealed 29% eosinophils small number lipid-laden macrophages. With these findings, diagnostic criteria met. We rendered diagnosis by for identified even structured questionnaire survey. manifestations resolved immediately steroid therapy. This caused oil.
