The distributions wereobtained by filtering or dimming tungsten halogen lamps. Measurements weremade 20 young and healthy individuals (25 eyes) whose monocular contrastsensitivities were measured with a natural pupil. Sixteen combinations test andsurround luminance high low correlated colour temperatures werestudied in such way that the luminance, surround orcolour temperature both visual fields could be independently Both testluminance influenced contrast sensitivity but correlatedcolour did not.
