摘要: Diabetic nephropathy is the leading cause of end-stage renal disease in United States. The progression kidney patients with diabetes can take many years, and interventions such as glycemic control, blood pressure inhibition renin-angiotensin-aldosterone system have been shown to slow this progression. Despite implementation these strategies, number that ultimately develop remains high. Recent investigation has focused on optimization blockade diabetic using combinations drugs target pathway. Additional potential novel therapies either various pathways upregulated by hyperglycemia or other targets believed promote endothelin system, inflammation vitamin D receptors. This review article addresses some well-established principles regarding accepted management includes current updates most recent clinical research trials exploring therapeutics field.
