摘要: Abstract Offshore extension of the fresh Subei coast water is identified in winter based on site salinity observation data this and previous studies. A high-resolution regional ocean circulation model used to investigate cross-isobath movement low salinity-water over Yellow East China Seas, it has reproduced distribution observed 2014–2015 successfully. The suggests that low-salinity basically degenerated back eastern because strong northeasterly wind. However, a part extends offshore southeast direction across 20–50 m isobaths Yangtze Bank, which cannot be explained by either northerly monsoon or Changjiang discharge. Numerical experiments suggest transport soluble substances highly attributed tidal residual current, flowing southeastward whole Bank. results controlled also indicate bottom shear rather than mixing, plays significant role current during winter.
