摘要: It is demonstrated in electro-optic experiments that an external electric field of the order ${10}^{5}\text{ }\text{V}/\text{m}$ induces persisting texture transitions a nematic phase formed by bent-core mesogens. The field-induced metastable state identified its optical and properties. After switched off, original induced states can coexist domains for about one hour planar sandwich cells. During this time, gradually shrink but they be stabilized moderate fields. occurrence similar homeotropic cells suggests transition into biaxial observed. In field-free ground state, formation inversion walls observed inside domains.
