摘要: Abstract Green and functional bio based adsorbents on naturally derived polysaccharides have attracted considerable interest owing to their non-toxicity, biodegradability, flexible design, wide origins. Here, smart polyelectrolyte complex (PEC SC1-SC4) hydrogels were developed by self-assembling of different ratios salecan chitosan lactate (CL) for clean-up nickel ion (Ni2+) from wastewater. Preparation process was rapid eco-friendly, without any toxic cross-linkers. The electrostatic attractions between studied FT-IR, XRD, XPS, TGA. Particularly, the content CL could be precisely modulated tailor swelling ability, micromorphology, stiffness hydrogels. Ni2+ adsorption onto dependent salecan/CL ratio, pH, initial concentration, contact time. SC4 showed highest uptake, but it too brittle. SC3 selected absorption studies. equilibrium data commendably matched pseudo-second-order Langmuir models, demonstrating monolayer chemical mechanisms. maximum model 414.9 mg/g, superior many reported adsorbents. Most strikingly, performed good recyclability, capacity still kept 95.3% even after five adsorption/desorption cycles. Hopefully, prepared hydrogel is a potential agent treatment wastewater contaminated with ion.
