摘要: [1] The Solar Mass Ejection Imager (SMEI) has recorded the inner-heliospheric response in white-light Thomson scattering for many hundreds of interplanetary coronal mass ejections (ICMEs). Some these have been observed by and Heliospheric Observatory (SOHO) Large-Angle Spectroscopic Coronagraph (LASCO) instruments also situ near-Earth spacecraft. This article presents a low-resolution three-dimensional (3-D) reconstruction 27–28 May 2003 halo CME event sequence LASCO later using SMEI observations; this was all monitors near Earth. The derives its perspective views from outward flowing solar wind. Analysis results reveal shape, extent, ICME as it reaches vicinity extended shape considerable detail that is compared with images masses event. 3-D reconstructed density, derived remote-sensed scattered brightness, Advanced Composition Explorer (ACE) Wind spacecraft plasma measurements. These agree well peak integrated total value when an appropriately enhanced (∼20%) electron number density assumed to account elements heavier than hydrogen ionized plasma.
