摘要: The disciplinary practices of 52 working- to middle-income African-American mothers were coded assess the degree which mother took a parent-oriented versus child-oriented approach across various aspects discipline. Factors associated with physical punishment included maternal education and age. use social/material control age, father presence, concerns about child victimization. Only was restrictive Fear victimization independently predicted material/social consequences. Findings are discussed in terms factors contributing these individual differences, adaptiveness for environments parent-child relationship is embedded
