Numerical Simulation of Water Level Change at the Coastal Area in the East Sea with the Inverted Barometer Effect

摘要: Sea water level variations are generally influenced by a variety of factors such as tides, meteorological forces, temperature, salinity, wave, and topography, etc. Among non-tidal conditions, atmospheric pressure is one the major causing changes. In East Sea, due to small tidal range which opposite large Yellow it difficult predict changes using numerical model, consider forcing only. This study focuses on effects sea predictions along eastern coast Korea. Telemac-2D model simulated with Inverted Barometer Effect(IBE), then its results analyzed. comparison between observed data predictions, correlation prediction IBE tide better than that tide-only case. Therefore, strongly suggested be considered for simulations in Sea.
