摘要: Colorectal peritoneal metastases (CPM) are associated with abbreviated survival and significantly impaired quality of life. In patients CPM, radical multimodality treatment consisting cytoreductive surgery (CRS) combined hyperthermic intraperitoneal chemotherapy (HIPEC) has demonstrated oncological superiority over systemic alone. highly selected undergoing CRS + HIPEC, overall 60% been reported in some series. These whom the disease burden is limited where diagnosis made at an early stage course. Early a deeper understanding biological mechanisms that regulate CPM critical to refining patient selection for treatment, personalising therapeutic approaches, enhancing prognostication, ultimately improving long-term survivorship. present study, we outline three broad themes which represent future research targets CPM: (1) enhanced radiological strategies detection staging; (2) identification validation translational biomarkers diagnostic, prognostic, deployment; (3) development optimized approaches surgical cytoreduction as well more precise drug delivery. Herein, provide contemporary narrative review state art these areas. A systematic accordance PRISMA guidelines was undertaken on all English language studies published between 2007 2017. vitro animal model were deemed eligible inclusion sections pertaining optimisation, areas currently remain stages development. Acquired data then divided into hierarchical thematic categories (imaging modalities, (diagnostic/prognostic/therapeutic), delivery techniques) subcategories. An interactive sunburst figure provided intuitive interrogation landscape.
