摘要: Abstract This chapter reports novel electronic properties exhibited by a charge transfer complex thin film, TTF-TCNQ, on Au(111) surface. The individual adsorption of TTF and TCNQ leads to different states the metal/organic interface, i.e., formation molecular Wigner lattice due electrostatic repulsion in first case, nucleation neutral islands second. Donor-acceptor recognition governs arrangement mixed TTF-TCNQ domains, where process forms negatively charged radicals (TCNQ−). These have spin ½ state, as evidenced Kondo resonance STM spectroscopy analysis. Organic donor-acceptor interactions are thus promising avenue towards spontaneous self-assembled organization metal-free magnets.
