摘要: The results of a techno-economic model distributed wind-hydrogen systems (WHS) located at each existing wind farm on the island Ireland are presented in this paper. Hydrogen is produced by water electrolysis from energy and backed up grid electricity, compressed before temporarily stored, then transported to nearest injection location natural gas network. employs novel correlation-based approach select an optimum electrolyser capacity that generates minimum levelised cost hydrogen production (LCOH) for WHS. Three scenarios operation studied: (1) curtailed wind, (2) available (3) full operations. Additionally, two sets input parameters used: current future parameters. electricity prices considered: low high prices. A closest facility algorithm geographic information system (GIS) package identifies shortest routes WHS its point. By using parameters, show small farms not suitable run electrolysers under operation. They must be achieve sufficiently LCOH. At capacity, average LCOH 6–8 €/kg with total 49 kilotonnes per year, or equivalent nearly 3% Irish consumption. This potential will increase significantly due projected expansion installed 5 GW 2020 10 2030.
