摘要: Many women choose not to take hormone replacement therapy (HRT) after menopause even though medical indications are present (1–5). Among all menopausal in the United States, only 20–40% ever HRT (5). those given prescriptions, 65% continue first prescription and 25% for more than three years (6). of these feel that is a natural transition life menopause-associated problems do require therapy. Others fearful complications such as deep venous thrombosis, pulmonary emboli, stroke or endometrial breast cancer. For estimated 2.5 million survivors cancer concern about mammary carcinoma risk strongly influences decision making processes regarding HRT.
