摘要: The interaction of NK cells with dendritic (DCs) results in reciprocal cell activation through the membrane proteins and release soluble factors. In this article, we report that NK-DC cocultures, among a set 84 cytokines investigated, activin A was second highest induced gene, CXCL8 being most upregulated one. Activin is member TGF-β superfamily previously shown to possess both proinflammatory anti-inflammatory activities. induction required contact dependent on presence (i.e., IFN-γ, TNF-α, GM-CSF), as well cell-mediated DC killing. CD1(+) DCs were main producer myeloid blood subsets. inhibition by follistatin, natural inhibitory protein, or specific blocking Ab, resulted upregulation cytokine IL-6, IL-8, TNF-α) increase maturation. conclusion, our study reports A, produced during interactions, represents relevant negative feedback mechanism might function prevent excessive immune DCs.
