摘要: Abstract An in situ reaction bonding technique was developed to fabricate mullite-bonded porous silicon carbide (SiC) ceramics air from SiC and α-Al 2 O 3 , using graphite as the pore-former. Graphite is burned out produce pores surface of oxidized SiO at high temperature. With further increasing temperature, amorphous converts into cristobalite reacts with form mullite (3Al ·2SiO ). particles are bonded by oxidation-derived obtain ceramics. The behavior, open porosity, pore size distribution mechanical strength were investigated a function sintering forming pressure content. In addition, phase composition microstructure also studied.
