摘要: Abstract The separation of the lanthanides from tripositive actinides has been successfully accomplished by column elution with lithium chloride solutions 10 M or stronger using a moderately cross-linked, strongly basic anion exchange resin at an elevated temperature. Fractionation actinide ions into groups Pu, AmCm, Bk, and CfEs can be obtained during same elution. distribution coefficient Dv (defined in terms geometric bed volume) representative was investigated as function LiCl H+ concentration, temperature, cross-linkage resin, technique. In addition, adsorption kinetics were measurement americium peak half-widths over range flow-rates 25 87°C 2, 8, per cent DVB several particle sizes. formation anionic complexes is markedly influenced concentrations. for La, Lu, Am Cf uniformly decreased nearly one-fourth when concentration increased 0·1 to 1·0 M, while maintaining ion constant 10·15 M. Except deviations observed order Gd Ho their corresponding homologs, Cm Es, sequence proceeded increasing atomic number, La being least adsorbed. Under acceptable operating conditions ratio D v ( ) = 19 .
