摘要: — Amino acid uptake has been studied in desheathed frog sciatic nerve. Results indicate that at least two types of processes are involved: a non-saturable process, possibly simple diffusion, and saturable, carrier-mediated process. There appear to be several transport mechanisms, which can separated on the basis their substrate specificity as follows: small neutral, large β-alanine, acidic, basic, aromatic heterocyclic, proline. The some mechanisms is incomplete these certain amino acids from other groups limited extent. percentage total by saturable process highly variable. Basic, those containing or heterocyclic ring structures taken up primarily process; neutral proline
