摘要: Wnt signaling is a fundamental pathway involved in embryonic development and adult tissue homeostasis. Mutations the frequently lead to developmental defects cancer. As such, therapeutic intervention of this has generated tremendous interest. Dickkopf-1 (DKK1) secreted inhibitor β-catenin dependent was originally characterized as tumor suppressor based on prevailing view that promotes cancer pathogenesis. However, DKK1 appears increase growth metastasis pre-clinical models its elevated expression correlates with poor prognosis range cancers, indicating more complex cellular biological functions than appreciated.
