摘要: EDUCATION HAS A MAJOR ROLE TO PLAY in building social capital and divertingIndigenous youth from a lifetime of underemployment, unemployment, alienation andsocially destructive behaviours. Despite few positive developments, the education status ofthe Australian Indigenous population is catastrophic. Closing gap essential tocapacity hundreds dysfunctional Aboriginal communities whose plight ismanifestly unnecessary wealthy developed nation. Education key to creating theAboriginal leaders, teachers, professionals self-sufficient individuals future. It iscapable expanding opportunities for full social, political economic participation.
