摘要: The European flora is of global significance but many species are facing an ever increasing range threats, especially the growing impacts climate change. While various estimates have been made for number threatened plant in Europe, up-to-date Red List does not presently exist. Target 8 Global Strategy Plant Conservation (GSPC) calls 60% to be conserved ex situ collections by 2010. In absence a List, it difficult monitor progress at regional level towards this target. To address gap Botanic Gardens International (BGCI) has developed consolidated list as step formal List. database consists national data from 28 countries and includes records over 11,000 taxa. National were supplemented information on critically endangered plants Europe provided Museum d’Histoire Naturelle/European Topic Centre Biological Diversity Conservatoire Botanique de Brest. A regionally was extracted screened against BGCI’s cultivation botanic gardens (PlantSearch) ENSCONET’s (European Native Seed Network) seed banks. This analysis revealed that 42% currently included conservation programmes Europe.
