摘要: The Ukraine crisis has led to tensions between Russia and the western states Arctic is one of affected regions. Regional cooperation, institutions, international law are essential for governance, may thus have wide-ranging consequences high north politics. present article develops an interest-based model conflict spill-over examines its strength, based on a case-study first 18 months crisis. Three hypotheses developed: will be less severe than in other regions, more assertive Russia, smaller larger states. A review confirms bulk these with some exceptions, demonstrating that interests-based holds merit, while also showing complete understanding necessitates broader approach. concludes spillover unlikely, but not impossible, Arctic.
