摘要: An apparatus for detecting substantially longitudinal flaws in the end area of a tubular member is disclosed. The comprises magnetizing-detection units, means moving-said units along helical path about surface member, and centralizing securing on being inspected. Magnetic detection transducers detect perturbations applied magnetic field any flaws. are mounted so as to remain remote from during operation apparatus. generated by said units. pivotably allow movement over both flat tapered surfaces. signals transmitted an external indicating device through slip rings.
