A comparative study between the space charge characteristics of (100) and (111) AgX micro-crystals as a function grain size, is presented. The ionic conductivity silver halide temperature determined by dielectric loss measurements on photographic emulsions. It shown that AgCl (100), AgBr microcrystals have net negative surface which compensated positive region formed an excess interstitial ions. experimentally proved there exists essential difference cubic octahedral grains. For increase obtained but no change in activation energy for when size decreases. However, besides decrease potential, with decreasing found. Both results are explained basis previous reported model thin films. supposed to be due overlapping regions opposite planes. surfaces ascribed limitation total number available sites Frenkel defect formation.
