摘要: In the GALLium Experiment, GALLEX, low-energy solar neutrinos produced in main hydrogen fusion reaction inside Sun are being counted for first time a radiochemical gallium detector. this way, theories about stellar structure may be verified and question of existence neutrino rest mass brought closer to solution. The experiment is carried out with international collaboration at Gran Sasso underground laboratory (LNGS) Abruzzi mountains Italy. paper we survey planning, construction initial experimental operation detector, paying special attention chemical aspects experiment. problem solved separation very few 71Ge atoms from 100 metric tons highly concentrated GaCl3 solution acidified hydrochloric acid. addition, these Ge must isolated converted into germane, GeH4, low-level counting gas proportional counter. After extensive preparatory work meet extreme requirements experiment, results have now become available.
