摘要: VHF radar observations with high range and time resolutions of 150 m 2 s were made to study the large-scale plasma turbulence in low-latitude E region over Gadanki. The are presented form Doppler spectra, height-time-intensity (HTI) maps height-time-Doppler velocity plots. daytime is found be unstable mostly lower part (<100 km) a narrow altitude manifesting as discrete scattering layer, contrast turbulent structures observed Jicamarca. During nighttime, however, while thin layered similar that dominant region, upper wide showing significant wave type, also occasionally plume type resembling spread F. HTI show large scale have vertical wavelengths ranging 1 km periods few tens seconds. velocities associated upward wave-type peturbations downward values 50–100 s−1 which considerably at spectral widths 100–150 significantly compared reported for Notwithstanding differences noted above, here seem conform broadly Jicamarca generated through nonlocal nonlinear numerical simulation gradient drift instability.
