摘要: Two commercially available light-curable glass-ionomer cements, Vitrebond and XR-Ionomer, have been studied their compressive strengths measured following storage under wet dry conditions for varying lengths of time up to 3 months. The strongest cements were those stored in air allowed age. On the other hand, that water found become progressively weaker with time. Their failure mode was different from specimens became barrel-shaped as they loaded exhibited considerable plastic deformation prior fracturing. By contrast, air-stored behaved predominantly brittle materials, essentially maintaining integrity point catastrophic failure. Both these findings indicate properties particular light-cured change markedly on exposure moisture, a fact which is clinical significance.
