摘要: This project assessed the feasibility of high-occupancy vehicle (HOV) and vehicle/toll (HOT) facilities. In first report this project, current operational facilities were described guidelines for operation, design, agency involvement, monitoring freeway arterial HOV lanes provided. The effectiveness selected configurations was using a specially modified dynamic traffic assignment methodology in combination with stochastic mode choice model. Computer simulation experiments conducted corridor network Fort Worth, Texas, as test bed. goal experiment to examine effect five variables on average trip time an HOV/HOT facility. These include lane usage access point restrictions, eligibility, demand levels, price, attractiveness carpooling. results research indicate that there is no one points consistently out-performs others under different demand, carpooling scenarios. However, because pricing, facilities, provides greater flexibility utilization varying scenarios, it could be effective tool managing congested corridors.
