摘要: The formation, evolution and death of massive stars release large quantities energy momentum into the gas surrounding sites star formation. This process, generically termed ‘feedback’, inhibits further formation either by removing from galaxy, or heating it to temperatures that are too high form new stars. Observations reveal feedback in galactic-scale outflows galaxies with rates especially early Universe. Feedback faint, low-mass probably facilitated escape ionizing radiation when Universe was about 500 million years old, so hydrogen between changed neutral ionized—the last major phase transition
