摘要: X-ray diffraction patterns of a number commercial bleaching earths indicate that they consist mainly montmorillonite mixed with smaller amount kaolinites as well mica, quartz and cristobalite. The active sites in these for the adsorption β-carotene are identified through ion exchange found to be protonic some metallic ions. efficiencies various cations imparting activities order Mg2+ > Fe3+ H+ Ca2+ Na+. For exchanged clays, activity was linear function concentration high clays discussed.
