摘要: Total mercury, alkyl mercury and selenium concentrations in the muscle tissue of 15 carcharhinid (Carcharhinus sp., C. limbatus, sorrah, fitzroyensis, amblyrhynchoides, melanopterus, cautus, amboinensis, macloti, dussumieri, brevipinna, Rhizoprionodon acutus, R. taylori, Galeocerdo cuvieri, Negaprion acutidens) three hammerhead (Sphyrna lewini, S. mokarran blochii) sharks from northern Australian waters are reported. ranged widely with maximum individual exceeding 1.5 mg kg-1 wet weight 11 species values over 3.0 Carcharhinus amboinensis mokarran. Much variability total concentration was attributable to differences length. adequately correlated fork length by power function relationship. There were signficiant these relationships for males females six species: had higher than same size. Weighted mean calculated using size composition data commercial feasibility fishing trials. means other brevipinna dussumieri greater 0.5 value combined catch all 1.22 kg-1. Alkyl comprised 80% content tissue. Maximum 1.0 nine recorded 3.4 dussumieri. no obvious or consistent between concentrations.
