摘要: We investigate and compare the characteristics of erbium-doped superfluorescent fiber sources (SFS’s) obtained from use different flattening techniques in double-pass forward (DPF) backward (DPB) configurations. The intrinsic technique consists optimizing length fiber. extrinsic methods include addition a samarium-doped (SDF) fiber-Bragg-grating (FBG) notched filter at output end separately to shape SFS spectrum. Although intrinsically flattened DPF DPB SFS’s have large power >34 mW, they are accompanied by an ∼3-dB ripple. FBG-flattened can achieve wide linewidth 35 nm with small ripple ∼1.7 dB better pump-power-dependent mean-wavelength stability; SDF-flattened inferior because SDF’s lossy
