摘要: Insight into illness is often impaired in psychosis and associated with poor prognosis, yet little known about how to improve insight. After an examination of the conceptual background insight, we review limited empirical studies this topic. Six psychoeducation are mixed, though suggesting a possible benefit, especially individualized interventions. In 2 psychoanalytically oriented psychotherapy, 1 cognitive-behavioral no beneficial effect on insight was notable. Two each videotaped self-observation antipsychotic medication reported improvement The possibility that atypical antipsychotics may be compared traditional deserves further examination. We conclude literature suggests potentially useful options for clinicians, but research needed better validated scales.
