摘要: In the last several years, large OLAP databases have become common in a variety of applications such as corporate data warehouses and scientific computing. To support interactive analysis, many these are augmented with hierarchical structures that provide meaningful levels abstraction can be leveraged by both computer analyst. This structure generates challenges opportunities design systems for query, visualization databases. In this paper, we present an visual exploration tool facilitates exploratory analysis rich structure, might stored cubes. We base on Polaris, system rapidly constructing table-based graphical displays multidimensional databases. Polaris builds visualizations using algebraic formalism derived from interface interpreted set queries to database. extend user interface, formalism, generation expose take advantage structure. resulting system, analysts navigate through projections database, incrementally generating each projection.
