摘要: Abstract Background The treatment of hepatic metastases from gastric cancer is controversial, due to biologic aggressiveness the disease. Objective To survey clinical approach subset patients presenting with metachronous as sole site recurrence after curative resection cancer, focusing on results achieved by different therapies and investigate prognostic factors major relevance. Methods Retrospective multi-center chart review evaluating 73 patients, previously submitted D ≥ 2 gastrectomy for who developed exclusive recurrence. Prognostic related patient, malignancy its treatment, metastatic disease therapy were evaluated. Results Forty-five received supportive care, 17 chemotherapy, 11 resection. Survival was independently influenced variables T ( p = 0.019), N = 0.05) G = 0.018) primary therapeutic = 0.08) 80.8%, 30.3% 20.2% surgical Conclusions Our data suggest some criteria that may facilitate selection best survival rates are associated which should be chosen whenever possible.
