摘要: Between 1990 and 2000, farmland birds showed a significant decline across Europe, trend not shared by bird assemblages of other habitats over the same period. Mean trends for each species in period 1990–2000 were positively correlated with 1970–1990, there was little change population trajectory most 30-year Of 58 classed an independent assessment as being primarily farmland, 41 negative overall mean Europe 1990–2000, 19 them significant. There correlation between national all indices agricultural intensity. This relationship strengthened when declining considered alone, apparent only non-declining considered. Population terrestrial non-farmland unrelated to Trends populations proportion under agri-environment prescriptions. The results support earlier evidence that can be predicted from gross statistics. Substantial changes policy, particularly removal economic incentives lead intensification, are required if 2010 targets halting loss biodiversity met enlarged European Union.
