摘要: Exposure to child maltreatment increases the risk for psychiatric and physical diseases. Inflammation has been proposed as a mechanism through which early adverse experiences become biologically embedded. However, most studies providing evidence link between exposures inflammation have retrospective or cross-sectional in design, did not assess immediately after young children. In present study we investigated association childhood salivary C-reactive protein (CRP) concentrations population of N = 173 children, 3-5 years age, who were recruited immediate aftermath followed-up longitudinally every 6 months over period 2 years. We found that CRP was significantly moderated by sex, such girls, higher maltreated compared control group, this difference stable across 2-year follow-up-period, while boys, there no CRP. Our findings suggest effect on may already emerge right exposure at very age girls manifest time. provides important development personalized, interventions strategies targeting early-life period.
