摘要: We report the first observation of high wave vector magnon excitations in a ferromagnetic monolayer. Using spin-polarized electron energy loss spectroscopy, we observed dispersion one atomic layer (ML) Fe on W(110) at 120 K. The energies are small comparison to bulk and surface Fe(110) excitations. find an exchange parameter magnetic anisotropy similar that from static measurements. Our results sharp contrast theoretical calculations, indicating present understanding magnetism ML requires considerable revision.
