摘要: This study uses a choice experiment framework to estimate Oregonians' willingness pay (WTP) for changes in levels of biodiversity protection under different conservation programs the Oregon Coast Range. We present policy as an amalgam four programs: salmon and aquatic habitat conservation, forest age-class management, endangered species protection, large-scale reserves. The results indicate substantial support but significant differences WTP across programs. Oregonians highest increasing amount devoted achieving old-growth characteristics. On average, respondents annual household $380 increase forests from 5% 35% distribution. Conversely, reserves peaks at $45 annually double current level 20% landscape, whereas is negative any over 32%. also find resistance change policy, which substantially offsets increases all FOR .S CI. 50(5):589-602.
